Dj Shatta Benz

Dj Shatta Benz started playing from days of belt drive turntable in1991, I have attended Musical Institute of Contemporary Music in Music Production and Recording. I am the Chief Engineer for Pure Vibe Fm Radio, which was composed in Brooklyn NY in 2009 and came to flourish ion in Atlanta GA in 2012 at that time I was part of the Seduction Sound from the Flatbush area of Brooklyn NY with Dj Hemron, King GT and Soca Chris at that time. I have since ventured off and have been associated with sounds like Jugglers Life Sound, Bullet Proof Int., Solid Gold Sound But the first Dj Group I was a part of was King Shaolin Sound, I originally started off playing music in the early 90’s with my uncle Colin and Victor.

I eventually moved onto play music with Danger and a few of my longtime and best friends Nooks, Country and Trini-Bruck up and DJ Maine at which time we formed a sound called King Shaolin even though Dj Maine was not directly a member of King Shaolin he occasionally play alongside us we were more into playing music and having fun and entertaining the masses  and not so much intended on being a clashing sound. After King Shaolin was which was around 1993, we played music for multiple events from weddings, house parties, basements college parties and a few club events.

We eventually stating throwing our own events at which time we aligned with my eldest brother Dj Stash from Solid Gold Sound which at that time which was more a solo Dj at the time which played along sounds like Thunder Bolt (which is our family) Dj David, Bid D Sound, Samuel Top Ranking and was one of the original Dj’s on Digitek Sound from 90’s east New York, Brownsville section of Brooklyn NY in the late 80’s to early 90’s. As-well as English and Tyko who were known as G.D.P. Sound there style of music to Dj was House, Hip Hop, Jungle and Soca. We all eventually came under the umbrella of King Shaolin Sound. I am currently a Dj on Pure Vibez Fm Radio where I play a variety of music from various genres. G Watts is also an Alumni of DeVry University and Art Institute.

When I am not entertaining the masses with musical vibes, I am working at Graphictek Solutions Print and Multi-Media Serv. where I am a Graphic Designer Web Developer and Printer to which I been a part of for over 15 years. Or on recently launched 592 Podcast which is been in the works for over 7 years now but has recently gotten myself and my associate’s full attention we to be gaining traction in the upcoming months. As the saying goes “jack of all trade master of none”, my goal is to master all my crafts, tasks and goals which goes without saying I am also part of a few clothing lines that produces high class quality Urban, Luxury and Work attire as well as under wear. which is currently in the beta stage of production but has gotten great feedback from the samples that have been distributed.

With all that I am involved in my goal is to always bring global vibes and good energy with a positive message whenever I am playing on Pure Vibez FM Radio.
